What is yours?
I saw it in the silliest of places: a demotivational poster. And yet this simple sentence has rattled around my brain for more than a decade since:
No single raindrop believes it is to blame for the flood.
It struck me as one of the most true statements ever written or spoken. It describes every last one of us to some extent.
That one sentence often shames me into making more responsible decisions that require a little more effort. Here is the original poster:
